We should be able to see the durations of films and shows, and when watched, they should be recorded. We should be able to see our total viewing times monthly and yearly.
When I enter a tv show page, I would like to be able to see the next episode I have to watch with its description and the ability to mark it as watched, and not only a bar of progress.
When you binged a few episodes, it would be cool to tick them all off at once instead of one by one. The Simkl app has this feature, when you mark as viewed an episode at least 2 ahead of the last one you had already marked, it opens a pop up saying "Mark previous episodes?" and you can chose Yes/No/Never. It's pretty useful.
When a media is added into the "Interested" collection, can we add a flag / badge / banner on the media. Because sometimes I have added the media into the "Interested" collection. After a period of time, I search for the same media, then I only know that I was added into "Interested" collection after I need to click on the "add to list" icon. It would be nice if we can see the indicators before clicking the "add to list" button.
Export statistics in PNG or JPG to use as Instagram story
When I see the list (Library / Collection), I would like to filter the media by country (original country)
If I have my profile private it should be private to anyone unless they follow me and I follow them. I also believe that in that case if my profile is private then someone trying to follow me should have to send a follow request rather than just be able to follow immediately
When we at the "In Progress", can we add the filter, so that we can filter out anime / movie / tv that I am currently watching.
Would like the ability to quick-add tags while looking at movies in the library tab
I came to Medialib to escape Trakt's price increases and other issues. I'm glad that less features are paywalled here, but was disappointing to find that Pro is even more expensive than Trakt VIP. If importing anime from Trakt is implemented too, then I'd gladly pay $20 a year with less or zero extra features, just to support the site. If there's no extra features, maybe each user could manually choose the amount they can afford, or you could start a Patreon or Ko-fi instead.
It would be nice to be able to filter the library by genre, both "is" and "is not" An example would be in your library you'd display movies that are in the Animation genre only or, if you want to exclude a genre, you would display any movie that is not part of the Animation genre
I appreciate the fact that rankings are typically tied to watchings over content, but that doesn't seem to be the case for TV shows entirely. Also ranking each episode and then ranking the season, and then maybe the show as a whole is somewhat tedious. I'd like to be able to rank each episode as I watch, and then have it automatically apply the rounded average as the ranking up the "hierarchy". This can go for ranking seasons and applying the average to the show as a whole too possibly? Could even has it as a setting on a watch, just a toggle or something saying "use average"or something? The finer details can definitely be worked out, but overall I'd really like this feature.
It'd be nice if Medialib fetched reviews of media from their source i.e. tmdb let's you fetch reviews of a media. MDBlist some other tracking websites have integrated this so it'll be nice to have.
You have tv shows, games, books, what you need is to include music to your list.
Right now in your library you can only filter everything that has at least one of your selected tags It would be nice to be able to filter elements that match all of your selected tags to be able to filter Shooter games that are Singleplayer only, for example
Serialized anime for trakt import
Only display the tags that are applied on at least 1 element when viewing a collection instead of displaying every single tag you ever interacted with
what I'm saying is that i don't want to make a separate account for some other site to track the rest that aren't upcoming TV/Anime episodes i want to keep track of my upcoming manga (what i really made this request was for upcoming individual manga chapters), movies, books, games right here as this is supposed to be an all-in-one website and i want to keep using this site because i like it and it's good or maybe i sound like an idiot right now idk I'm open to being corrected, ciao, xoxo.
Be able to export lists so that there can be integration with Stremio.
So, instead of just having a full library where you can filter your media, why not give us a separate tag for each media type? It feels very... cluttered having them all under one tab and just filtering them.
Trakt gives the ability to download full user JSON data I would love to be able to import all my stuff insted of the integration Trakt is struggling with their V3, and I'm moving out and a lot of their users since 2012 are doing the same I think it's good change to market this lovely platform.
Automatic weekly backups to Dropbox, Google Drive, email (csv file sizes are small enough), etc. I don't want to settle in here and risk losing everything if something goes wrong.
A pugin for stremio
a plugin for emby please
Simkl also has a separate anime category, but that site's Trakt import does allow importing serialized anime. Maybe one way of getting anime imported to Medialib could be importing from Trakt to Simkl, then Simkl to Medialib?
Would be nice have a Koreader plugin that could refresh the status of a book, like hardcover
Allow clicking on actors and display their movies and tv shows
Separate statistics by type of content (movies, TV series, books, games, anime, manga) or filtering by type of content on the user's account page
List sorting option should stay as what i chose last.
ui with sidebar menus on the bottom
Add support for tracking additional watches of movies and episodes. Trakt supports this.
When ignoring a specific season of a show, I'd like it te be taken out of the calculation for 'upcoming watches' or 'up next'. For example: I am watching The Voice. I started in season 17 and watched everything after that. I have, however, no intention of watching earlier seasons. Therefore I do not want to see those in my upcoming/next watch/progress/unseen/etc.
I will like it if this site could feature book recommendations based on the books you rated and liked.
